What's up with blasts rocking Bali?

It seems like whenever there are explosives detonated in Bali, journalists describe Bali as being rocked. Being rocked by explosives can be taken a number of ways. Personally, I like the idea of Bali being rocked to sleep by a series of gentle explosions that made the landscape sway gently.
