An older, slightly deprecated blog. "Blog." What an uncomfortable word.

An Idea: Task Elimination Solutions
Today I had an interesting idea. This idea, will allow myself and others to serve our community actively, fight boredom, and win friends. This idea, is errand running; a task elimination solution. I propose to stand somewhere in a heavily trafficked area, like on the sidewalk of South College Avenue, with a large sign which will say "We Will Run Your Errands For Free." We will have at least two people here, one to manage the errands in queue, and another to actually run the errands. Real running will be involved: sorry, non-runners. You are not invited. Until we implement large-scale service using cars and / or dune buggies. The idea is that we fight our boredom by doing these menial tasks, like getting groceries, running books to the library, getting books from homes for classes (of course these patrons will trust us, because we're just good people), and assisting with other small, odd tasks. These people are freed of the burden of doing these tasks, and they get the pleasure of seeing us do them at top speed, and total devotion to the task at hand. I am seriously thinking about doing this. It's getting cold though. Maybe when the weather starts to get warm again. We would gain a lot of social wealth by doing this. We'd be kings. Kings without material riches.
