The Blockbuster Film is DYING.

I originally saw this (link) at BoingBoing (link). Compelling study. Honestly I cannot say this surprises me. Remember what I wrote about Big Momma's House 2? (Forgetful) Well, I think the days of that kind of stuff are numbered. The question I have is, what will they be replacing this stuff with? Will it be...worse? I feel that there's a true dearth of originality in the movie industry at large, which does not mean that interesting and original movies are not born out of it. The majority are awful though. Soon enough we'll see change. Change will probably be the cloning of whatever has been a recent success. Get ready to see Brokeback To The Future...for real.
